Dropped my car off on Tuesday at the Oak Harbor shop and it was ready on Wednesday. Dave is very professional and he made the whole process easy. They did great work on my car and I'll definitely go back. I would also recommend them for your service needs. The nice folks at Gateway really do have a family atmosphere. They'll treat you right.

Visited Dave in March 2016 at the Oak Harbor shop when my car would no longer shift. They were courteous and professional and very expedient. They had my car repaired in one day and took care of everything as discussed in the estimate. I highly recommend these knowledgeable folks over at Gateway Transmission. I bought a truck and brought it in for routine maintenance. I was informed there was metal in the tranny pan. $1450 just to tear it apart to diagnose. Also informed (lied to) that this would be "cheaper than waiting," only to be informed that it needed all $2000 worth of parts. My father is on social security disability, but even after repeatedly telling them that I was supposed to be the contact, they would call and freak him out on the costs. I went into the shop to settle things only to have the guy behind the desk talk rudely to me until another customer walked in. I have finally had the truck towed home (in pieces) only to see that the transmission looks brand new, not a wear spot or broken tooth to be found anywhere. The tow truck driver even joked about definitely referring them - to your worst enemy!

I really was well served. The level of knowledge shown by the staff and their concern for my vehicle put me at ease. When I got the car back, it ran like new. I will be a client of Gateway Transmission for a long time.

My experience with Gateway transmission was great. I took my daughters car to another shop first and it still had problems. Gateway fixed it and she says that she now loves the way it drives. I was impressed by the staff and the service.

Dave and Charlie have been taking care of our cars for almost 20 years now. They are honest about their costs and take pride in the work that they do.
