Took good care of me. Will return, short on loaner cars. Was expecting a wash job, but didn't happen.

Well I had a 2010 Suburu and it was experiencing cooling issues. I actually kept in touch with the hands on mechanic at Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions and I was quite impressed with him, it seemed like his approach was very logical and I think he saved me some money. I'm not so sure the problem was resolved though, I was losing coolant and its probably not an easy thing to diagnose on a Suburu but I suspect there was head gasket leak somewhere. They were pretty sure it wasn't that. The only thing he found wrong with the car after diagnosing it, was a sensor was turning on the cooling fan when it shouldn't have been. I brought the car home, I checked the coolant level and it was down considerably down after driving it for a day so I sold it. I didn't have a warm and fuzzy feeling about the car itself, I suppose I am grateful they didn't get into it further. I'd go there again.

I took my truck to Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions and they did a quick road test, put it on the rack, and told me I needed another transmission. It was a good experience because they were upfront with everything, and the estimate was right on and close to what they said it would cost. They kept the truck, a 2006 Dodge Dakota, just a little longer than I preferred--they were swamped because one guy was on vacation. I like that they were very friendly and easy to work with, and that the shop was clean and neat and looked professional. The rebuilt transmission I bought is fine and my truck is back to the way it was with no issues. It also came with a two-year, 24,000-mile warranty.

They provided repairs on my turn signal, windshield wiper and steering wheel component and two of the issues were fixed except there still seems to be a problem with the delay switch for my windshield wiper. I called them and they agreed to take a look at it for me. This was my first time at Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmission and they were very friendly and the service was quick and easy. My former repair shop merged with Gateway Transmission so that's why I decided to try them out. It's hard to say how the quality of their service is based on my first experience, but I'm willing to try them again because they seem knowledgeable and very customer service oriented.

The folks at Gateway are terrific. The customer service was excellent. We were treated with respect and kept well informed throughout the process, and the excellent warranty left us feeling confident.
